Therapy for the Ones Who Hold Everything Together

Compassionate, affirming therapy for high-functioning, emotionally exhausted adults navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and the impact of always being the strong one.

You might be feeling…

You’ve spent so much of your life holding it together that most people would never guess how overwhelmed, lonely, or exhausted you actually feel.

You’re the one people rely on.
The thoughtful one. The capable one. The emotionally aware one.

You learned how to adapt early.
To read the room.
To mask.
To overfunction.
To take care of others before yourself.
To push through even when your nervous system was screaming for rest.

Maybe you grew up in a home where feelings weren’t truly talked about, welcomed, or safe.
Maybe parts of your identity never fit neatly into boxes.
Maybe you became who others needed you to be before you ever got the chance to discover who you really are underneath survival mode.

You might look high-functioning on the outside while quietly carrying anxiety, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, people pleasing, perfectionism, or a deep sense of disconnection inside.

And because you carry it so well, people often don’t realize how much you’re struggling.

Who I work with

  • People of color and multicultural identities

  • Queer and LGBTQ+ individuals

  • Late diagnosed or masked neurodivergence

  • Cycle breakers and first-generation therapy seekers

  • Highly sensitive people navigating trauma, burnout, and self-abandonment

  • Recovering people pleasers

  • High achievers who look like they have it all together but feel exhausted underneath

  • Individuals healing from emotional neglect, perfectionism, and chronic self-doubt

You've likely spent years adapting to what was expected of you.

Maybe you learned to stay strong, keep the peace, anticipate everyone's needs, hide your struggles, or push through no matter how overwhelmed you felt.

These patterns often develop for good reasons. They may have helped you survive difficult experiences, navigate family expectations, move between different worlds, or find belonging where it wasn't always freely given.

But what once helped you survive may now leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, anxious, stuck, or unsure of who you are beneath everyone else's expectations.

In therapy, we'll slow down and make space for the parts of you that have had to work so hard for so long.

Together, we can explore:

  • People pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Perfectionism, overachievement, and burnout

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion

  • Identity exploration and self-discovery

  • Childhood wounds and emotional neglect

  • Relationship patterns that leave you feeling unseen or responsible for others

  • Masking, self-abandonment, and survival mode

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I integrate somatic therapy and Brainspotting to help you move beyond simply understanding your experiences and toward healing them on a deeper level.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you no longer have to perform, prove, or hold everything together on your own

How Therapy Can Help

Hi, I'm Veronica

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps high-functioning, deeply feeling people reconnect with themselves beyond survival mode.

Many of my clients have spent years taking care of others, masking their struggles, adapting to fit in, or carrying responsibilities that were never meant to be theirs alone.

As a queer femme, Indigenous-Latina, and neurodivergent therapist, I understand firsthand what it can feel like to navigate multiple identities, challenge expectations, and search for belonging. My work is especially affirming for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and highly sensitive individuals.

I offer virtual therapy throughout California and provide a warm, compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome.

You don't have to keep carrying everything alone.

You deserve support, too.
